  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 75 grams blanched almonds (chopped or sliced)

Directions

Step 1

In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Stir in the granulated sugar, dark brown sugar, and golden syrup until everything is well combined. Remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly.

Step 2

In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, and ginger.

Once the butter mixture has cooled, pour it into the bowl of dry ingredients. Stir until a soft dough forms.

Fold in the chopped or sliced almonds, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
