Ingredients

  • 6 medium Apples (preferably tart, such as Granny Smith)
  • 100 grams Granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 200 grams Breadcrumbs
  • 100 grams Butter
  • 50 grams Brown sugar
  • 300 ml Heavy cream (for whipping)
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 100 ml Water

Directions

Step 1

Peel, core, and thinly slice the apples. Place them in a medium-sized saucepan.

Step 2

Add granulated sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and water to the saucepan with the apples. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the apples are soft and slightly broken down (about 10 minutes). Remove from heat and set aside to cool.

Step 3

In a large frying pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the breadcrumbs and stir well to coat them in the butter.
