Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Pork tenderloin
  • 0.5 cup Hoisin sauce
  • 0.25 cup Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tbsp Rice vinegar
  • 3 cloves Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp Fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tsp Sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp Water
  • 2 stalks Green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • 1 tbsp Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Trim any excess fat from the pork tenderloin and place it in the crock pot.

Step 2

In a medium bowl, whisk together the hoisin sauce, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil until well combined.

Step 3

Pour the sauce over the pork tenderloin, making sure it is fully coated.

Step 4

Cover the crock pot with the lid and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the pork is tender and cooked through.

Step 5

Once cooked, remove the pork from the crock pot and set it aside on a platter, tenting it with foil to keep warm.

Step 6

Pour the remaining sauce from the crock pot into a small saucepan.

Step 7

In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch and water until smooth. Stir this slurry into the saucepan with the sauce.

Step 8

Bring the sauce to a simmer over medium heat, stirring frequently, until it thickens into a glaze-like consistency, about 2-3 minutes.

Step 9

Slice the pork tenderloin into medallions and drizzle the thickened hoisin glaze over the top.

Step 10

Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds, if using. Serve warm alongside rice or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
