Ingredients

  • 10 ounces frozen chopped spinach
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 cup parmesan cheese
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

Step 2

Thaw the frozen chopped spinach completely and squeeze out as much excess water as possible. Set aside.

Step 3

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and melted butter until fully combined.

Step 4

Add the flour, baking powder, salt, ground black pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder to the wet mixture. Stir until smooth and no lumps remain.

Step 5

Fold in the squeezed-out spinach, shredded cheddar cheese, and parmesan cheese into the batter. Mix until evenly incorporated.

Step 6

Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, smoothing it out to make an even layer.

Step 7

Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Step 8

Allow the spinach squares to cool in the pan for 5–10 minutes, then cut into 12 squares or your desired size.

Step 9

Serve warm or at room temperature. Enjoy!
