  • 1 tablespoon Chopped fresh chives (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Place the eggs in a single layer in a medium saucepan. Add enough water to cover the eggs by about 1 inch.

Bring the water to a rolling boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, cover with a lid, turn off the heat, and let the eggs sit in the hot water for 10 minutes.

Prepare an ice bath by filling a large bowl with ice and water. After 10 minutes, transfer the eggs into the ice bath to cool for 5 minutes.

Gently crack and peel the eggs under running water. Slice each egg in half lengthwise, removing the yolks and placing them in a medium bowl. Arrange the whites on a serving platter.
