Ingredients

  • 500 grams Beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 4 tablespoons Soy sauce (gluten-free if needed)
  • 2 teaspoons Cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons Vegetable oil (or any neutral oil)
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon Red chili flakes
  • 2 medium Bell peppers (red, yellow, or green), sliced
  • 1 large Carrot, julienned
  • 150 grams Snow peas
  • 3 stalks Green onions, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Chili-garlic sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 4 cups Cooked white or brown rice (optional, for serving)

Directions

Step 1

In a small bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of soy sauce with the cornstarch to create a slurry. Add the sliced beef and toss to coat. Let marinate for 10 minutes while prepping the vegetables.

Step 2

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated beef in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned but not fully cooked through. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.

Step 3

In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil. Stir in the minced garlic, grated ginger, and red chili flakes. Cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Step 4

Add the sliced bell peppers, julienned carrot, and snow peas to the skillet. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.

Step 5

Return the cooked beef to the skillet. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, chili-garlic sauce, and sesame oil. Stir well to combine and let cook for another 2-3 minutes until the beef is fully cooked and the sauce coats everything evenly.

Step 6

Remove from heat and sprinkle the sliced green onions on top. Serve immediately over cooked white or brown rice if desired.
