Ingredients

  • 500 grams ground beef
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 small garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 0.5 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Directions

Step 1

Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic cloves.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with the chopped onion, garlic, and fresh parsley.

Step 3

Add the ground cumin, ground coriander, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper to the beef mixture.

Step 4

Using your hands, mix all the ingredients until well combined.

Step 5

Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about 1/2 inch thick.

Step 6

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Step 7

Once the oil is hot, add the patties to the skillet, ensuring they do not overcrowd. Cook in batches if necessary.

Step 8

Cook each patty for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are fully cooked and have a nice brown crust.

Step 9

Remove the patties from the skillet and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.

Step 10

Serve the patties hot with your choice of accompaniments such as a salad, rice, or in a burger bun for a delicious meal.
