Ingredients

  • 500 grams Potatoes
  • 3 large Shallots
  • 3 whole Garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon Ground coriander
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground white pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh cilantro
  • 2 stalks Scallions
  • 1 large Egg
  • 250 milliliters Cooking oil

Directions

Step 1

Peel the potatoes and cut into large chunks. Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the potatoes until tender, about 15 minutes.

Step 2

Drain the cooked potatoes and mash them in a large bowl until smooth. Set aside to cool slightly.

Step 3

Peel and thinly slice the shallots and garlic. Chop the cilantro and slice the scallions.

Step 4

In a small pan, heat a tablespoon of cooking oil over medium heat. Sauté the shallots and garlic until fragrant and golden brown, about 4-5 minutes.
