Start by preparing the dairy-free Nutella filling. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Spread the hazelnuts on a baking sheet and roast for 10 minutes until fragrant and slightly browned.
Remove hazelnuts from the oven and let them cool slightly. Rub the hazelnuts between a clean kitchen towel to remove most of the skins.
Transfer the peeled hazelnuts into a food processor and blend until they become a smooth paste, scraping down the sides as needed.
