Boil 240 milliliters of water in a small pot or kettle.
Once the water is boiling, turn off the heat and add 2 tablespoons of Hojicha loose leaf tea.
Let the Hojicha tea steep for 5 minutes to bring out its full flavor.
While the tea is steeping, heat 240 milliliters of unsweetened almond milk in another pot over medium heat until warm, but not boiling.
Once warmed, remove the almond milk from heat and add 1 tablespoon of maple syrup and 0.5 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Stir well to combine.
Strain the Hojicha tea into a mug to remove the tea leaves.
Pour the sweetened almond milk over the Hojicha tea in the mug.
