Ingredients

  • 2.25 teaspoons Active dry yeast
  • 1.25 cups Warm water (about 110°F)
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 3.5 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 3 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Dried parsley
  • 0.5 teaspoon Kosher salt

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, dissolve 2.25 teaspoons of active dry yeast and 1 tablespoon of sugar in 1.25 cups of warm water. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.

Step 2

Add 2 cups of all-purpose flour and 1.5 teaspoons of salt to the bowl. Mix well using a wooden spoon or dough hook if using a stand mixer.

Step 3

Gradually add the remaining 1.5 cups of flour and 2 tablespoons of olive oil to the mixture. Knead the dough for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. If the dough is sticky, add more flour a tablespoon at a time.

Form the dough into a ball and place it in a greased bowl, turning it to coat lightly with oil. Cover the bowl with a clean kitchen towel and let the dough rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until it has doubled in size.
