Ingredients

  • 400 ml Coconut milk
  • 200 ml Coconut cream
  • 2.5 teaspoons Agar-agar powder
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
  • 80 ml Maple syrup
  • 1 pinch Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup Fresh berries for garnish

Directions

Step 1

In a saucepan, combine the coconut milk and coconut cream. Stir until well mixed.

Step 2

Sprinkle the agar-agar powder over the surface of the liquid and let it sit for 5 minutes to hydrate.

Step 3

Turn the heat to medium and bring the mixture to a simmer, stirring constantly to dissolve the agar-agar completely. This should take about 5 minutes.

Step 4

Add the vanilla extract, maple syrup, and a pinch of salt. Stir to combine and then take the saucepan off the heat.

Step 5

Divide the mixture evenly among four small ramekins or cups.

Step 6

Let the panna cotta cool to room temperature before transferring the ramekins to the refrigerator.

Step 7

Chill for at least 3 hours or until set completely.

Step 8

Before serving, dip the bottom of each ramekin briefly in hot water to help release the panna cotta. Invert onto serving plates.

Step 9

Garnish with fresh berries and serve immediately.
