Ingredients

  • 500 grams Dairy-free puff pastry
  • 400 grams Pork sausages
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 2 Garlic clove
  • 50 grams Breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons Chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.

Step 2

Finely chop the onion and garlic.

Step 3

Heat olive oil in a small pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic; sauté for 3-4 minutes until they become translucent. Allow to cool slightly.

Step 4

In a large bowl, squeeze the sausage meat out of the casings.

Step 5

Add the onion and garlic, breadcrumbs, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper to the sausage meat. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.

Step 6

Roll out the dairy-free puff pastry on a floured surface into a large rectangle approximately 40cm by 30cm.

Step 7

Cut the pastry in half lengthwise to create two long strips.

Step 8

Divide the sausage mixture into two portions. Shape each portion into a long sausage log and place along the center of each pastry strip.

Step 9

Beat the egg in a small bowl for the wash.

Step 10

Brush one of the pastry edges with beaten egg. Then, fold the other side over the sausage mixture to encase it fully, pressing the edges to seal.

Step 11

Cut each long roll into approximately 6 smaller rolls, and place them seam-side down on the prepared baking tray.

Step 12

Brush the tops of the rolls with more of the beaten egg to enhance the golden color during baking.

Step 13

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.

Step 14

Allow the sausage rolls to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
