Ingredients

  • 1 cup Warm water
  • 2.25 teaspoons Active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 2.5 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1.5 cups Dairy-free mozzarella cheese
  • 0.75 cup Tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Dried basil
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder

Directions

Step 1

In a small bowl, combine the warm water, active dry yeast, and sugar. Stir gently and let sit for about 10 minutes until the mixture is foamy.

Step 2

In a large bowl, mix the all-purpose flour and salt. Create a small well in the center.

Step 3

Pour the yeast mixture and olive oil into the well of the flour mixture. Combine until a dough begins to form.

Step 4

Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Step 5

Grease a large bowl with a little olive oil. Place the dough in the bowl, turning it once to oil the top. Cover with a clean kitchen towel and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Step 6

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to preheat as well.

Step 7

Punch down the risen dough and turn it out onto a lightly floured surface. Roll it into a 12-inch circle for a thicker crust or a 14-inch circle for a thinner crust.

Step 8

Transfer the rolled dough onto a pizza peel or a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Step 9

Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a small border for the crust.

Step 10

Sprinkle the dairy-free mozzarella cheese evenly over the top of the sauce.

Step 11

Sprinkle the dried oregano, basil, and garlic powder over the cheese.

Step 12

Transfer the pizza to the preheated pizza stone or baking sheet and bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted.

Step 13

Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
