Ingredients

  • 1 cup Large black tapioca pearls
  • 6 cups Water (for boiling tapioca pearls)
  • 4 bags Black tea bags
  • 2 cups Hot water (for tea)
  • 2 cups Almond milk
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 1 cup Ice cubes

Directions

Step 1

Bring 6 cups of water to a rolling boil in a large pot. Add the tapioca pearls to the boiling water and stir gently to prevent sticking.

Cook the pearls for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Turn off the heat and let them sit in the hot water for an additional 15 minutes.

While the pearls are cooking, brew the black tea. Place 4 black tea bags in a heatproof container and pour 2 cups of hot water over them. Let the tea steep for 5 minutes before removing the tea bags.
