Ingredients

  • 250 ml unsweetened almond milk
  • 50 g vegan margarine
  • 70 g granulated sugar
  • 7 g active dry yeast
  • 500 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 L vegetable oil
  • 300 g strawberry jam
  • 50 g powdered sugar

Directions

Step 1

Heat the almond milk in a small saucepan or microwave until it's warm (not hot) to the touch.

In a large bowl, combine the warm almond milk, 1 tablespoon of the sugar, and the yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.

Melt the vegan margarine and add it into the yeast mixture along with the remaining sugar. Stir well to combine.
