Ingredients

  • 2 cups Rolled oats
  • 1 cup Almond butter
  • 0.5 cup Maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.75 cup Dairy-free chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons Chia seeds
  • 0.5 cup Natural unsweetened applesauce

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C) and line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving enough overhang on the sides for easy removal.

Step 2

In a large bowl, combine the almond butter, maple syrup, applesauce, and vanilla extract. Stir the mixture until smooth and creamy.

Step 3

In a separate bowl, mix together the rolled oats, chia seeds, and salt.

Step 4

Pour the dry oat mixture into the wet ingredients and stir well until combined and all the oats are coated.

Step 5

Fold in the dairy-free chocolate chips, making sure they are evenly distributed throughout the mixture.

Step 6

Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish and use a spatula to press it evenly into the pan, ensuring it is tightly packed together.

Step 7

Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until the edges turn golden brown.

Step 8

Remove from the oven and let the granola cool completely in the pan on a wire rack. This prevents them from crumbling when cut.

Step 9

Once cooled, use the parchment overhang to lift the bars out of the pan and cut them into 12 bars with a sharp knife.

Step 10

Store the granola bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week or in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
