Ingredients

  • 250 ml Warm water
  • 10 g Active dry yeast
  • 10 g Sugar
  • 500 g All-purpose flour
  • 10 g Salt
  • 60 ml Olive oil
  • 150 g Dairy-free cheese shreds
  • 15 ml Apple cider vinegar
  • 5 g Garlic powder
  • 5 g Dried oregano

Directions

Step 1

In a small bowl, combine warm water, active dry yeast, and sugar. Stir gently and let it sit for about 10 minutes until the mixture is foamy.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Mix well.

Step 3

Add the olive oil, apple cider vinegar, and the yeast mixture to the flour. Use a spoon to start mixing, then gradually incorporate the ingredients into a dough.

Step 4

Add the dairy-free cheese shreds, garlic powder, and dried oregano to the dough. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

Step 5

Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until the dough has doubled in size.

Step 6

Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 7

Punch down the risen dough and divide it into 8 equal portions. Shape each portion into a bun and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

Step 8

Cover the buns with a dry towel and let them rise for an additional 20-30 minutes.

Step 9

Bake the buns in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until they are golden brown on top.

Step 10

Remove the buns from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack. Serve warm or at room temperature.
