  • 1 teaspoon chaat masala
  • 0.5 teaspoon black salt (kala namak)
  • 0.5 teaspoon or to taste regular salt
  • 2 tablespoons tamarind paste
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 0.5 cup sev (crunchy chickpea noodles)
  • 0.5 cup pomegranate seeds

Directions

Step 1

Rinse and drain the canned chickpeas thoroughly and set aside.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the chickpeas, finely chopped red onion, tomato, and green chili.

Add the chopped fresh cilantro leaves to the bowl.

In a small bowl, mix together the ground cumin, ground coriander, red chili powder, chaat masala, black salt, and regular salt.
