Ingredients

  • 15 ounces (canned, drained and rinsed) Chickpeas
  • 1 small, finely chopped Onion
  • 2 cloves, minced Garlic
  • 2 tablespoons, fresh, chopped Parsley
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Ground coriander
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.5 cup All-purpose flour
  • 0.25 cup Water
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 3 tablespoons Olive oil

Directions

Step 1

In a large bowl, mash the chickpeas using a fork or potato masher until mostly smooth with some texture remaining.

Step 2

Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, cumin, coriander, salt, and black pepper to the mashed chickpeas and mix until well combined.

In a separate small bowl, whisk together the flour and water to create a thick batter.
