Ingredients

  • 500 grams Ground beef
  • 250 grams Ground pork
  • 1 medium, finely chopped Onion
  • 3 cloves, minced Garlic
  • 30 grams, chopped Fresh parsley
  • 1 large Egg
  • 100 grams Dairy-free breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 400 ml Tomato sauce

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef and ground pork using your hands until just mixed.

Step 2

Add the finely chopped onion, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and mix well into the meat.

Step 3

Add the large egg, breadcrumbs, salt, and black pepper to the mixture. Use your hands to combine all ingredients until they are evenly distributed.

Step 4

Roll the meat mixture into small balls, about the size of golf balls. You should have around 20 meatballs.

Step 5

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat the olive oil.

Step 6

Once the oil is hot, add the meatballs in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Brown them on all sides, turning frequently, for about 5-7 minutes per batch.

Step 7

Once browned, remove the meatballs and set them aside on a plate.

Step 8

In the same skillet, pour in the tomato sauce and bring it to a simmer over medium heat.

Step 9

Carefully add the browned meatballs back into the skillet with the tomato sauce.

Step 10

Reduce the heat to medium-low, cover, and let the meatballs simmer in the sauce for about 15-20 minutes until cooked through and tender.

Step 11

Serve hot with your choice of pasta, rice, or bread. Enjoy your dairy-free boulettes de viande!
