  • 2 pieces Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala
  • 0.5 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper, ground
  • 1 piece Green chili, finely chopped
  • 100 grams Peas, optional
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 20 pieces Spring roll wrappers
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons Water, for sealing
  • 500 milliliters Oil, for deep frying

Directions

Step 1

In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil over medium heat.

Step 2

Add the cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds until fragrant.

Step 3

Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.

Step 4

Add the minced garlic, ginger, and green chili; cook for another 2 minutes.

Step 5

Stir in the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spoon. Cook until browned, about 8-10 minutes.

Step 6

Add coriander powder, garam masala, turmeric, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.

Step 7

Add the peas if using, and cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 8

Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the chopped cilantro. Allow the mixture to cool.

Step 9

Take one spring roll wrapper and keep the rest covered with a damp cloth to prevent drying.

Step 10

Place about 1 tablespoon of the beef filling on the wrapper. Fold into a triangular shape, sealing the edges with water.

Step 11

Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.

Step 12

Heat 500 milliliters of oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat.

Step 13

Fry the samosas in batches until golden brown, about 4 minutes per side.
