Ingredients

  • 250 grams dry egg noodles
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 medium carrot, julienned
  • 100 grams green cabbage, shredded
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sweet soy sauce (kecap manis)
  • 1 tablespoon chili sauce
  • 200 grams tofu, cut into cubes
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 50 grams bean sprouts

Directions

Step 1

Cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions, then drain and set aside.

Step 2

Heat 1 tablespoon of the vegetable oil in a large wok or frying pan over medium-high heat.

Step 3

Add the tofu cubes and stir-fry for 5-7 minutes until they are golden brown on all sides. Remove from the pan and set aside.

Step 4

In the same pan, add another tablespoon of vegetable oil and sauté the onion and garlic until fragrant, about 2 minutes.

Add the red bell pepper, carrot, and cabbage to the pan, and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
