  • 1.5 cups All-purpose flour
  • 0.25 teaspoons Baking soda
  • 0.25 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.25 cup Dairy-free margarine
  • 0.25 cup Soy milk
  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable oil
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 0.5 cup Water
  • 0.5 teaspoon Cardamom powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Lemon juice
  • 2 cups Vegetable oil for frying

Directions

Step 1

In a large bowl, combine all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix well.

Add dairy-free margarine to the flour mixture. Use your fingers to incorporate the margarine until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.

Gradually add the soy milk and 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the flour mixture, kneading gently until you form a soft dough. Do not over-knead.
