Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Burger patties
  • 2 tablespoons Coconut oil
  • 8 slices Dairy-free cheese slices
  • 8 slices Bacon strips (dairy-free)
  • 4 pieces Lettuce leaves
  • 1 large Tomato
  • 1 small Onion
  • 8 slices Pickles
  • 4 tablespoons Ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Mustard
  • 4 pieces Sesame seed burger buns (dairy-free)

Directions

Step 1

Slice the tomato and onion into thin slices and set aside.

Step 2

Heat 1 tablespoon of coconut oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add burger patties to the skillet and cook for about 5-6 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

Step 3

In a separate pan, heat the remaining 1 tablespoon of coconut oil over medium heat. Add the bacon strips and cook until crispy, about 4-5 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Step 4

Once the burger patties are nearly cooked, place two slices of dairy-free cheese on each patty. Cover the skillet with a lid and allow the cheese to melt for about 1-2 minutes.

Step 5

Toast the burger buns lightly in a toaster or on a skillet for a minute or until slightly golden.

Step 6

To assemble the burgers, spread 1 tablespoon of ketchup and 1/2 tablespoon of mustard on the bottom half of each toasted bun.

Step 7

Place a piece of lettuce on each bun, followed by a cooked patty with melted cheese.

Step 8

Add two slices of tomato and two pickle slices on top of the patty. Add a few onion slices.

Step 9

Place the second burger patty with cheese on top, then add two crispy bacon strips.

Step 10

Top with the other half of the toasted bun.

Step 11

Serve the burgers immediately with your favorite side.
