Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 4 slices dairy-free cheddar cheese slices
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 4 burger buns
  • 4 leaves lettuce leaves
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 0.5 red onion, sliced
  • 0.25 cup dairy-free mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.

Step 2

In a bowl, mix the ground beef with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder until well combined.

Step 3

Divide the beef mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties.

Step 4

Brush each side of the patties lightly with olive oil.

Step 5

Place the bacon slices on the grill and cook for about 2-3 minutes per side until crispy. Set aside on a paper towel-lined plate.

Step 6

Grill the beef patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

Step 7

About two minutes before the patties are done, place a slice of dairy-free cheddar cheese on each patty to melt slightly.

Step 8

While the burgers are cooking, toast the burger buns on the grill for about 1 minute until lightly golden.

Step 9

Assemble the burger by spreading a tablespoon of dairy-free mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun.

Step 10

Place a lettuce leaf on each bottom bun, followed by a beef patty with melted cheese, a slice of bacon, tomato slices, and sliced red onion.

Step 11

Top the burgers with the remaining half of the bun and serve immediately.
