  • 3 medium potatoes
  • 1 cup green peas
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 medium tomato
  • 1 inch piece ginger
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 small green chili
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 0.5 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1.5 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons cilantro

Directions

Step 1

Peel and cube the potatoes into 1-inch pieces.

Step 2

Finely chop the onion, and dice the tomatoes.

Step 3

Grate or finely chop the ginger and garlic.

Step 4

Slit the green chili lengthwise.

Step 5

Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat.

Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds.

Add the chopped onion and saute until golden brown.
