Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 2 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 0.5 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, milk, Worcestershire sauce, beaten egg, parsley, salt, and black pepper. Use your hands or a large spoon to mix until evenly combined, but don’t overmix.

Step 3

Transfer the meat mixture to the prepared loaf pan and form it into a loaf shape, pressing it down gently to ensure it holds together.

Step 4

In a small bowl, mix the ketchup, brown sugar, and yellow mustard until smooth. Spread this glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.

Step 5

Bake the meatloaf in the preheated oven for 50–60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) when checked with a meat thermometer.

Step 6

Remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing. This helps the juices redistribute and ensures the loaf stays intact.

Step 7

Slice and serve warm with mashed potatoes, green beans, or your favorite side dishes. Enjoy!
