  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup green beans, trimmed
  • 2 scallions, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon white sesame seeds (optional for garnish)
  • 4 cups cooked jasmine rice

Directions

Step 1

Slice the beef sirloin into thin strips, about 1/4-inch thick, against the grain. Coat with cornstarch and set aside for 10 minutes.

Step 2

In a small bowl, mix together orange juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, and orange zest to create the sauce. Set aside.

Step 3

Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Once hot, add the beef slices in batches, searing until browned and slightly crispy. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
