  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter (cut into small pieces)
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Whipped cream (for topping)
  • 2 tablespoons Chocolate shavings (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar, flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Mix well to eliminate lumps.

Gradually whisk in the milk until smooth and combined.

Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook the mixture, whisking constantly, until it begins to bubble and thicken (about 8-10 minutes).
