Ingredients

  • 500 grams Ground beef
  • 200 grams Mozzarella cheese
  • 3 whole Jalapeños
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 large Egg
  • 100 grams Panko breadcrumbs
  • 50 grams All-purpose flour
  • 500 milliliters Vegetable oil

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, and egg. Mix thoroughly until the mixture is well combined.

Step 2

Cut the mozzarella cheese into approximately 1 cm cubes to create the cheesy centers.

Step 3

Slice the jalapeños into thin rounds and set aside.

Step 4

Take a tablespoon-sized portion of the beef mixture and flatten it into a small disc in the palm of your hand.

Step 5

Place a cube of mozzarella and a slice of jalapeño in the center of the disc, then carefully wrap the beef mixture around it, sealing the edges to form a round ball. Repeat with the remaining mixture, cheese, and jalapeños.

Step 6

Roll each ball lightly in all-purpose flour, ensuring an even coating. Shake off any excess flour.

Step 7

Dip each floured ball into the beaten egg mixture, then roll in the panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently to ensure the coating adheres well. Repeat with all the prepared balls.

Step 8

Heat the vegetable oil in a heavy-bottomed pot or deep skillet to 175°C (350°F). Use a food thermometer to maintain consistent oil temperature.

Step 9

Carefully lower a few prepared balls into the hot oil using a slotted spoon or tongs, ensuring not to crowd the pan. Fry for about 3-4 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and cooked through.

Step 10

Remove the fried balls and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.

Step 11

Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces, such as ranch, marinara, or spicy aioli. Enjoy your explosive flavor-packed ‘Da Bombs’!
