  • 1 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 medium green apple, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped (optional, for garnish)
  • 4 cups cooked white rice (for serving)

Directions

Step 1

Season the chicken breasts with 1 teaspoon of salt and 0.5 teaspoon of ground black pepper on both sides.

Step 2

In a large skillet or sauté pan, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until golden brown. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
