Ingredients

  • 1 medium head Green cabbage
  • 1 large Yellow onion
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 1 inch piece Fresh ginger
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon Ground turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Ground coriander
  • 2 teaspoons Curry powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Red chili flakes
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 0.25 cup Water
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh lime juice

Directions

Step 1

Thinly slice the cabbage into shreds, discarding the core.

Step 2

Peel and finely dice the onion. Mince the garlic cloves and ginger.

Step 3

Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat.

Step 4

Add the diced onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until it turns translucent.

Step 5

Stir in the minced garlic and ginger, cooking for another minute until fragrant.

Add the ground turmeric, cumin, coriander, curry powder, and red chili flakes to the skillet. Stir for 30 seconds to toast the spices.
