Ingredients

  • 2 slices Bread (sourdough or your choice)
  • 4 slices Bacon
  • 0.5 whole Avocado
  • 2 pieces Lettuce leaves
  • 2 slices Tomato
  • 1 tablespoon Mayonnaise
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Butter (optional, for toasting)

Directions

Step 1

Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook the bacon strips until crispy, about 4-6 minutes, turning halfway through. Place cooked bacon on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess grease.

Step 2

While the bacon cooks, toast the bread slices in a toaster or on a skillet. If using a skillet, you can spread a thin layer of butter on one side of each slice for extra flavor.

Step 3

Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh into a small bowl. Mash it lightly with a fork and mix in a pinch of salt and black pepper to taste.

Step 4

Spread mayonnaise on one side of each toasted bread slice.

Step 5

On one slice of bread (mayonnaise side up), layer the lettuce leaves, tomato slices, cooked bacon, and mashed avocado.

Step 6

Top with the second slice of bread, mayonnaise side down, to form the sandwich.

Step 7

Gently press the sandwich together, slice it in half if desired, and serve immediately.
