Ingredients

  • 500 grams Ground chicken
  • 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 stalks Green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Minced garlic
  • 3 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 large Egg
  • 3 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 4 tablespoons Teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons Optional garnish: sliced green onions

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, Panko breadcrumbs, chopped green onions, minced garlic, soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, grated ginger, and egg. Mix thoroughly until well combined.

Step 2

Using your hands, form the mixture into small patties, roughly 2.5 inches in diameter. You should get 8-10 patties, depending on size.

Step 3

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Step 4

Carefully place the patties into the skillet, cooking in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding. Fry each side for 4-5 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C).

While cooking, brush a generous layer of teriyaki sauce on each side of the patties during the last minute of cooking to glaze them.
