Ingredients

  • 250 grams All-purpose flour
  • 125 grams Unsalted butter (cold, cubed)
  • 50 grams Granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 60 milliliters Ice water
  • 75 grams Brown sugar
  • 1.5 teaspoons Ground cinnamon
  • 50 grams Unsalted butter (melted)
  • 50 grams Rolled oats
  • 2 tablespoons Powdered sugar (for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, and salt.

Step 2

Add the cold, cubed butter to the bowl and rub it into the dry ingredients using your fingertips or a pastry cutter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Step 3

Gradually add the ice water to the mixture, 1 tablespoon at a time, mixing gently until the dough comes together. Avoid overworking the dough.

Shape the dough into a disk, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes.

While the dough chills, prepare the crumble filling. In a separate bowl, combine the brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and rolled oats.
