Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) Cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) Cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup Sour cream
  • 0.5 cup Chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
  • 4 servings Cooked rice, noodles, or mashed potatoes (for serving)

Directions

Step 1

Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of your crockpot in a single layer.

Step 2

In a medium bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, and chicken broth. Whisk until smooth.

Step 3

Stir in the onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper into the sauce mixture.

Step 4

Pour the sauce over the chicken in the crockpot, spreading it evenly to cover all the chicken pieces.

Step 5

Place the butter on top of the sauce in small dollops across the surface.

Step 6

Cover the crockpot with the lid and set it to cook on low for 6 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.

Step 7

Once the chicken is fully cooked (165°F internal temperature), carefully remove the chicken breasts from the crockpot and set them aside.

Step 8

Stir the sauce in the crockpot to ensure it's well blended and creamy. You can also thicken it by stirring in a cornstarch slurry (1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water) if desired.

Step 9

Return the chicken breasts to the crockpot to heat through for a few more minutes.

Step 10

Serve the chicken and sauce over cooked rice, noodles, or mashed potatoes, garnishing with fresh parsley if desired.
