Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup Sour cream
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) Cream of chicken soup
  • 2 teaspoons Minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons Black pepper
  • 0.5 cup Chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 2 tablespoons All-purpose flour

Directions

Step 1

In a small bowl, combine the sour cream, cream of chicken soup, minced garlic, dried parsley, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir well until smooth and set aside.

Step 2

Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crock pot in a single layer.

Step 3

Pour the chicken broth over the chicken breasts to keep them moist during cooking.

Step 4

Spread the sour cream mixture evenly over the chicken, making sure each piece is completely coated.

Step 5

Cover the crock pot with the lid and cook on low for 4–5 hours or until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.

Step 6

Once cooked, remove the chicken breasts from the crock pot and place them on a serving plate. Cover with foil to keep warm.

Step 7

In a small skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour and cook for 1–2 minutes to create a roux. Gradually add 1 cup of the cooking liquid from the crock pot to the roux, whisking constantly until thickened.

Step 8

Pour the thickened sauce back into the crock pot and stir it into the remaining sour cream mixture to create a smooth, creamy gravy.

Step 9

Serve the chicken breasts with the sour cream gravy spooned over the top. Pair with rice, mashed potatoes, or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
