Ingredients

  • 16 oz Button mushrooms
  • 4 tbsp Unsalted butter
  • 4 large Garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp Low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 cup Beef broth
  • 1 tsp Fresh thyme
  • 0.5 tsp Ground black pepper
  • 0.25 tsp Kosher salt
  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp Cold water
  • 1 tbsp Fresh parsley (optional garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Clean the mushrooms by wiping them with a damp paper towel. Trim stems if necessary but keep them whole.

Step 2

Mince the garlic cloves and set aside.

Step 3

Add mushrooms to the Crock Pot in an even layer.

Step 4

Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl, then stir in the minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, beef broth, thyme, pepper, and salt. Mix well to combine.

Step 5

Pour the butter mixture over the mushrooms in the Crock Pot.

Step 6

Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or until the mushrooms are tender and have released their juices.

Step 7

Once cooked, prepare a cornstarch slurry by whisking cornstarch and cold water together in a small bowl until smooth.

Step 8

Stir the slurry into the Crock Pot and mix well. Cover and cook on high for an additional 15-20 minutes or until the sauce has thickened.

Step 9

Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve mushrooms hot, spooning the sauce over the top.

Step 10

Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired.
