Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Italian sausage
  • 1 medium Onion, finely chopped

  • 28 oz Crushed tomatoes
  • 6 oz Tomato paste
  • 1 tsp Dried basil
  • 1 tsp Dried oregano
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Pepper
  • 15 oz Ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 cups Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large Egg
  • 10 sheets Lasagna noodles (uncooked)

Directions

Step 1

In a large skillet, cook the ground Italian sausage over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Remove excess grease if needed.

Step 2

Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the sausage. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until the onion is soft and fragrant.

Step 3

Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5-7 minutes, then remove from heat.

In a medium bowl, mix together the ricotta cheese, shredded mozzarella cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, and egg until well combined.
