  • 1 tsp Caraway seeds
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper, freshly ground
  • 2 tbsp All-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 0.5 cup Sour cream (optional, for serving)
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat.

Step 2

In a bowl, toss the beef stew meat with 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour until coated.

Brown the beef in the skillet, working in batches if necessary. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side, just until browned. Transfer the beef to the crock pot.
