Ingredients

  • 8 pounds fully cooked spiral-cut ham
  • 0.5 cups honey
  • 0.5 cups brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 0.5 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoons ground cloves
  • 0.25 cups orange juice

Directions

Step 1

Remove the ham from its packaging and discard any included glaze packet. Place the ham flat-side down into a large crock pot.

Step 2

In a small saucepan, combine honey, brown sugar, unsalted butter, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, ground cinnamon, ground cloves, and orange juice over medium heat.

Step 3

Stir the mixture until the sugar dissolves and the butter melts completely. Heat for 2-3 minutes, but do not boil.

Step 4

Using a basting brush or spoon, generously pour and spread the prepared glaze all over the ham, making sure to get the glaze in between the spiral cuts.

Step 5

Cover the crock pot with its lid and set it to LOW heat. Cook for 4 to 5 hours, basting the ham with the glaze and its juices every hour if possible.

Step 6

Once the ham is heated through and caramelized on the edges, carefully remove it from the crock pot and transfer it to a serving platter.

Step 7

Let the ham rest for 10 minutes before carving. Serve with the additional glaze or juices drizzled over the slices.
