Ingredients

  • 7 pounds fully cooked bone-in ham
  • 0.75 cups honey
  • 0.5 cups Dijon mustard
  • 0.25 cups brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoons ground black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Unwrap the ham and pat it dry with paper towels. If desired, trim off any excess fat, leaving about 1/4 inch for flavor and moisture.

Step 2

In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the honey, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, and black pepper to create the glaze.

Step 3

Place the ham flat-side down in the slow cooker. If the ham is too large, you can trim it slightly to fit the crock pot.

Step 4

Pour half of the honey Dijon glaze evenly over the ham, making sure to coat it well. Reserve the remaining glaze for later.

Step 5

Cover the slow cooker with its lid and set it to LOW. Allow the ham to cook for 5 hours (300 minutes).

Step 6

Halfway through the cooking time, spoon some of the cooking juices over the ham to baste it. This will help keep it moist and flavorful.

Step 7

During the last hour of cooking, pour the reserved glaze over the ham and continue cooking covered for the remaining time.

Step 8

Carefully remove the ham from the slow cooker onto a serving platter. Let it rest for 10-15 minutes before carving.

Step 9

Slice the ham and serve warm with any remaining glaze drizzled on top or served on the side.
