Ingredients

  • 3 pounds pork shoulder roast or beef chuck roast
  • 1 large yellow onion, chopped

  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water

Directions

Step 1

Season the pork roast or beef with salt, black pepper, paprika, thyme, and rosemary.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the roast on all sides until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
