  • 8 ounces canned tomato sauce
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Directions

Step 1

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon. Drain any excess fat and transfer the beef to the crock pot.
