  • 1 stick Cinnamon stick
  • 4 pods Cardamom pods
  • 1 leaf Bay leaf
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Water
  • 0.25 cup Fresh cilantro (for garnish)
  • 4 wedges Lemon wedges (for serving)

Directions

Step 1

Dice the onion finely and mince the garlic cloves.

Step 2

Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the cumin seeds and cook until they sizzle and release their aroma (about 30 seconds).
