  • 1 cup Green or brown lentils
  • 3 cups Water
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves

Directions

Step 1

Rinse the lentils thoroughly under cold water and place them in a medium saucepan.

Add the 3 cups of water and bring to a boil over high heat.

Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let the lentils simmer uncovered for about 15-20 minutes until they are just tender but not mushy. Stir occasionally.
