Ingredients

  • 1 pound Green beans
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 Eggs
  • 0.5 cup Milk
  • 1.5 cups Panko breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 3 cups Vegetable oil (for frying)

Directions

Step 1

Wash and trim the green beans, removing any stems.

Step 2

Set up a breading station with three bowls. In the first bowl, add the all-purpose flour. In the second bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk. In the third bowl, combine panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

Step 3

Coat each green bean in flour, shaking off any excess. Dip it into the egg mixture, letting the excess drip off, then coat it evenly with the breadcrumb mixture.

Step 4

Place the breaded green beans on a baking sheet or plate while you work on the remaining beans.

Step 5

Heat the vegetable oil in a deep skillet or heavy-bottomed pot over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Step 6

Fry the green beans in batches for 2–3 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Avoid overcrowding the skillet to maintain the oil's temperature.

Step 7

Using a slotted spoon, transfer the fried green beans to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.

Step 8

Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch dressing or a spicy aioli.
