Ingredients

  • 6 pieces Chicken thighs (bone-in, skin-on)
  • 6 cloves Garlic cloves (minced)
  • 3 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 1.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper (freshly ground)
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Dried thyme
  • 0.5 cup Chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Step 2

Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels to ensure crisp skin. Sprinkle both sides evenly with salt, black pepper, paprika, and dried thyme.

Step 3

In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Place the chicken thighs in the skillet skin-side down and cook for 5-6 minutes, or until the skin is golden and crisp. Do not flip the chicken during this time.

Step 4

Once the skin is crisp, turn the chicken thighs over and cook the other side for 2-3 minutes. Remove the chicken temporarily and set aside.

Step 5

Reduce the heat to medium, add the butter to the skillet, and allow it to melt. Stir in the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute, until fragrant.

Step 6

Pour in the chicken broth and stir to deglaze the skillet, scraping up any browned bits stuck to the bottom.

Step 7

Return the chicken thighs to the skillet skin-side up. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

Step 8

Remove the skillet from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes. Spoon the garlic sauce over the chicken.

Step 9

Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving. Pair with your favorite sides, such as steamed vegetables or roasted potatoes, for a complete meal.
