Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 0.5 cup Yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.25 tsp Black pepper
  • 0.25 cup Ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Mustard
  • 1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 16 oz Refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 Egg, beaten
  • 1 tbsp Sesame seeds (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and chopped onion until the beef is browned and cooked through, about 5–7 minutes. Drain any excess grease.

Step 3

Season the beef mixture with salt and black pepper. Stir in the ketchup and mustard until well combined. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Step 4

On a clean work surface, unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles.

Step 5

Place a heaping tablespoon of the beef mixture onto the widest part of each triangle. Top with a sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese.

Step 6

Carefully roll up each triangle, starting from the wide edge and working your way towards the point, encasing the filling inside.

Step 7

Arrange the crescent rolls on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the top of each roll with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds, if desired.

Step 8

Bake in the oven for 15–20 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and cooked through.

Step 9

Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy warm!
